Abedi Pele (Andre Ayew’s Dad) is a Ghanaian Football Legend. He is a three-time African Footballer of the Year (1991, 1992, 1993), African Nations Cup and Champions League winner. The proud Dad made his sons – Ibrahim, Andre and Jordan – follow in his footsteps.
André Ayew began his football career with 1860 Munich. He went through the academy ranks of Nania and Marseille. He began playing for the Black Stars after helping his country win the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the African Youth Championship (all in 2009).
As a pro, Andre rose to become a popular figure in football. Andre has won several honours in his illustrious career, including the 2011 BBC African Sports Personality of the Year award. As I create this Bio, he is just about to lead Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
