The French Defender is well educated, up to the high school level. When he was launched into professional football by Paris FC, young Axel was still a 17-year-old high school student. Unlike Mike Miagnan, Disasi didn’t have bad school grades. He once revealed that everything worked so fast for him because of his seriousness in school and his performance on the pitch.

At the time Disasi was rounding up his career at Paris FC Academy, he was preparing for his baccalaureate. And when football training was over, he found a way to move to his class, finding extra strength to study and read his books. Speaking about the experience, Axel once said;

At that time, I didn’t take myself for someone else. I tell people I’m Axel, a final year student, not a football player from French Ligue 2. The sequence between football and schooling was a bit difficult. Sometimes, in the evening, I would fall asleep on my notebooks. Despite that, I won’t let go of reading my books.

Axel Disasi Biography – Football Story:

As early as the age of 6, precisely in the year 2004, the boy who learnt his soccer trade in the north of central Paris enrolled with the local team, Villiers-le-Bel JS. Early on, Axel presented himself as an intelligent footballer who found it easy to outclass his age group.

When Axel was younger, he played as an attacker and scored lots of goals. When he got bigger in size, he moved to Defence. In his early career years, Disasi, who is versatile, also played in different positions: left-back, left centre-back, and right Central Defender for a three defence formation. In his words;

I like full-back too because it allows me to play more with the ball.

In my early career years, I liked to be offensively minded, and I did score goals.

Scoring Twelve goals in his three seasons at Monaco is proof of the fact that he is just like John Terry, the goal-scoring Defender and Chelsea Legend.

In Villiers-le-Bel, where Axel Disasi’s family still lives, he found himself evolving at his local club from the ages of 6 and 15. In his mid-teenage years, the young boy of Congolese origin had to escape the meshes of football scouts and other recruiters’ nets. Although many clubs in France wanted him, young Axel was only interested in joining USM Senlis.

USM Senlis, the Football club that recruited him, is situated in Senlis, France. As observed from the data below, Disasi’s new football home was just a 36-minute drive from Villiers-le-Bel, where his parents raised him. Axel could only spend a season at USM Senlis, in the neighbouring department of Oise.

Axel Disasi Bio – Road to Fame:

When compared to where he was coming from, it was said that Axel joined a big club. Here are the words of Mathieu Lacan, the director of Paris FC Youth.

You could say that Zxel Disasi comes from very far away, almost out of nowhere.

Thanks to his great performances at Paris FC, young Axel was once again followed by these bigger French teams, Nantes and Auxerre. At this time, the Central Defender refused to change clubs, believing Paris FC offered him something interesting. In Axel’s words;

The club shows that they care about me. At first, I was a bit shy. I didn’t speak much.

It is important to tell you that Paris FC is a club that has laid the career foundation of top soccer talents. Some of these persons whose Biographies we have covered include Karl Toko Ekambi (CF), Moussa Diaby (RW), Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Ibrahima Konate.

To the joy of Axel Disasi’s family, in 2015, he successfully completed his academy career at Paris FC. Following that, he was launched into the club’s reserve team (Paris FC B). As a young Central Defender beginning his professional career, Axel Disasi copied the defensive attributes of his role model, who is no other than Thiago Silva.

Again, his brilliant displays in a Stade Reims shirt (see video below) earned him a French U20 call-up and a big transfer move to Monaco.

Did you know?… Chelsea’s Champions League winner, Edouard Mendy was part of Reims’ title-winning team. With Disasi as his teammate, their club (in the 2017–18 season) won Ligue 2, with 88 points (15 points behind the second position).

Boasting over 200 senior career appearances, Axel delivered an exceptional performance in his debut game under Mauricio Pochettino. Now, witness the unforgettable debut goal he netted against Mohammed Salah‘s Liverpool side, a moment that will forever resonate with him.

A noteworthy point? Disasi’s World Cup call-up set a new precedent for France. He emerged as the first French player to make his international debut during a World Cup since 1996. EndNote:

Axel, the tall and muscular Defender, was born on the 11th of March 1998 to his parents, Mhakinis Belho and Arthur Disasi. The Chelsea footballer grew up in a family of Congolese and Angolan origin in Villiers-le-Bel, a great town in Val-d’Oise, a French department in the northern suburbs of Paris.

Since he was a little boy, young Axel had shown promise with a ball at his feet from an early age. The Parisian began his professional journey with his childhood local team, Villiers-le-Bel JS.

He started out as a Striker who scored lots of goals but changed positions to Defence as soon as he became a giant on the pitch. This explains the reason for Disasi’s success in front of goal for the clubs he has played for. The reality is that things move quickly for him, all thanks to his dedication both on the field and in the classroom.

As a young Defender, Axel was trained to anticipate the opposition player’s move, look for the ball, and win it back. After spending eight years with his childhood club, he moved on to USM Senlis, where he spent an additional year before joining Paris FC.

At the time, Jean-Luc Vasseur, the Paris FC coach, gave Axel his Ligue 2 debut. The coach was deeply engrossed in preparing for his science baccalauréat at school. After a successful academy graduation with Paris FC, he, after his first season as a pro, moved on to join Reims.

Disasi employed the teachings of his idol, Thiago Silva, at Reims. He became that defender who likes to use his physicality, behave aggressively, and have the ball at his feet. Such qualities helped the club win the French Ligue 2 trophy.

The Frenchman instantly showed his qualities upon joining Chelsea FC. Football fans sensed the magnitude of Disasi’s move to Chelsea after he scored a debut goal against Liverpool. On that day, the 13th of August, he made Chelsea fans happy. Axel proved that he had what it takes to deal with the pace and physicality of the Premier League.
