Inside Jonas Wind’s History: Family Influence and Hard Work

Jonas Wind was born to Britt and Per Wind, growing up with two siblings in a family deeply rooted in football. His father, a former goalkeeper who later moved into football management, inspired Jonas to pursue a career in the sport, following in his father’s footsteps. Despite his modesty, Jonas once claimed to be the best player on every team he joined and prided himself on his ability to dribble past anyone during his youth.

In 1999, Jonas’s father secured a position at FC Copenhagen, one of Denmark’s premier clubs. Jonas often accompanied him, but there was no favoritism. After work, father and son would engage in intense training sessions, kicking the soccer ball thousands of times in their family garden. Despite the rigorous training, Jonas’s journey to becoming a professional footballer was challenging, but he eventually triumphed. Truth be told, it is really rare to see Denmark in such a favourable position in terms of having a talent pool.

Many soccer fans find interest in watching the highlights of the Big Danish striker.

However, not many have read an in-depth version of Jonas Wind’s Biography, which is very exciting. So, without further ado, let’s begin by discussing his early life.

Jonas Wind Childhood Story:

For starters of his Biography, he bears the nickname “Buffalo Soldier.” Jonas Wind was born on the 7th day of February 1999 to his Mother, Britt Wind and Father, Per Wind, in Hvidovre, Denmark.

Just maybe you didn’t know, his birth year (1999) was the year Soccer Legend David Beckham got married to beautiful Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham.

Jonas Wind arrived in the world as his dad and mum’s last-born son. He is one among three boys (himself and two older brothers) born into the marital union between Britt and Per.

Growing-Up:

Jonas Wind spent his childhood years mostly alongside his older brother, Mathias. They, who look like twins, grew up together and had a really close brotherhood.

Wind once shared a picture where he was sitting with his brother at an FC Copenhagen match in the Parken. Unknown to many fans, this little boy would be the image of the Danish football club in a few years to come.

Mathias Wind is pictured left, and his little brother, Jonas, is positioned right. Both brothers grew up with FCK.

Comparing the age difference between the Wind siblings, we found that the elder brother of Jonas Wind (Mathias) is 1,480 days older than him. In other words, Mathias is four years, two weeks and six days older than his little brother, Jonas.

Also, during our research, we found that Jonas Wind has a sister who also appears to be older. Again, he grew up alongside Morten Wind, who is the first son and child of the family.

Jonas Wind’s Early Life with Football:

Thanks to his early exposure to the sport, he developed immense talent. Back in the day, everyone could see something extraordinary in Jonas when he was a little boy.

For Morten, Jonas and Mathias Wind, football has been a big part of their growing-up years. Sadly, only two of the Wind brothers (Jonas and Mathias) made it as professional footballers.

Jonas Wind Family Background:

As you may have noticed, the males of Dane’s household have the game of football flowing through their veins. Per Wind, Jonas’ Dad is the brain behind the love for the beautiful game.

The father of three was a former goalkeeper who later decided he would venture into football management. Jonas Wind’s Dad became an employee at FC Copenhagen in the year 1999.

Per Wind worked as FC Copenhagen’s team manager for more than 20 years before leaving the club (unceremoniously). During his early years, Jonas Wind’s Dad was given the role of a goalkeeper coach in the club’s first team.

The proud father, over time, has made the Wind family the epitome of football. Here is little Jonas with members of his household at the time he was a kid.

Jonas Wind’s parents have remained an influential figure to him and his siblings.

From the start, Per Wind began the idea of raising his sons to become professional footballers. Jonas’ brother, Mathias Wind, began his soccer academy career with FC Copenhagen Youth.

At the pro level, he began playing for Rosenhøj Boldklub, a Danish club in the Copenhagen suburb of Hvidovre. We’ll tell you about Morten Wind – much later in this Biography.

Jonas Wind Family Origin:

The son of Per and Britt (his parents) is a Danish citizen by nationality. Regarding the part of Denmark Jonas Wind’s family comes from, our research points to Hvidovre.

In Denmark, going to school is compulsory for children until the ninth grade. So, therefore, Jonas Wind and his siblings were educated correctly. The Dane is not just a skilled striker, but once a hatched student who completed his last exam at Johannes Gymnasiet in Frederiksberg.

Jonas ever-loving Father, Per Wind, was present at his son’s graduation to see him wear the famous student cap, which feels absolutely fantastic. Have you noticed The Kiss from Jonas Wind’s Dad?… It shows how close both father and son are.

Career Buildup:

From the onset, Per Wind has one goal in mind. All he wanted was to be the father of one of the most prominent footballers in Denmark.

The FC Copenhagen goalkeeping coach first enrolled his son (Jonas) at Avedøre, a sports club based in Avedøre, Hvidovre Municipality.

Three years later, he moved Jonas to Rosenhøj Boldklub, an academy that gave the boy a better room to exercise his talent.

As noticed from the photo, Rosenhøj Boldklub was a three-minute drive to the small town Jonas Wind’s family lived.

His parents, Britt and Per Wind, greatly needed an academy with proximity to their home so they could monitor their son’s progress.

Jonas Wind Biography – Early Life with Football:

Throughout his stay with Avedøre and Rosenhøj Boldklub, the youngster was unbeatable. Jonas was the best footballer in all the age groups he played at. He was the type who could dribble past anyone, even the toughest defenders.

A specific event made one of the biggest clubs in Denmark (F.C. Copenhagen) sign him as a kid. A club that brought the best out of Andreas Cornelius.

Did you know?… Jonas Wind won the talent award in Rosenhøj BK. In fact, he was the youngest player in the club to ever receive this award.

FC Copenhagen got interested in signing him, and because Jonas Wind’s Father was a staff there, it became very easy for the youngster to get tips on passing trials.

In July 2012, the son of Britt and Per Wind was admitted to the FCK School of Excellence. Jonas, at this time, saw himself following his dad to his workplace, which happened to be his football school.

Both father and son spent hours in each other company, both at FCK’s training facility and at their home’s football garden (during Per Wind’s private practice with Jonas).

There was an excellent training culture in Copenhagen’s Talent Department. Apart from having the best facilities for intensive training, the club created an atmosphere where the boys could bond and become closer.

Speaking of bonding, here is one moment of creativity from Jonas and his FCK academy teammates.

Jonas Wind Bio – The Road to Fame Story:

As Per would always say to his son, “a great talent deserves a lot of hard work“. Jonas knew he would need to begin doing extraordinary things if he genuinely needed to be the best at the club.

The boy who enjoys having his father on the sidelines developed into a Whizz Kid that had the knack of shooting at long range and scoring great goals.

Back in the day, young Jonas enjoyed having his Dad (who worked at the club) watch him from the sidelines - as he unleashed terror on his opponents.

Back in the day, young Jonas enjoyed having his Dad (who worked at the club) watch him from the sidelines – as he unleashed terror on his opponents.

It took the effort of some youth coaches who push Jonas towards having the readiness to be a senior footballer. Even at that, Per Wind was the main instigator. Jonas Wind Dad had the role of developing the club as well as his son.

Hardcore training happened mostly in their family garden, where the soccer ball was kicked thousands of times. Sadly for Jonas, too go so hard on himself came with a price (an injury).

As stated earlier, Per Wind has been employed at FC Copenhagen since the year 1999. He, alongside other youth coaches, were instrumental to Jonas' rise at the club.

Just before he became a professional footballer, Jonas suffered from a cruciate ligament injury. Sadly, the injury came at a time the young striker had just kicked off a new season with five goals in his name.

It almost ruined his career, as poor Jonas could not play soccer for a total of nine months. Jonas shed tears during that difficult time, which saw his family standing by him.

Jonas Wind Biography – Success Story

The Rising Dane, after a period of 9 months, recovered from his injury and was lucky to have his excellent form. Jonas became the top scorer in the U17 league and for FCK’s U17 team – with 28 goals in 24 games.

On his nineteenth birthday, he signed a contract for the club’s senior team. Next, Jonas Wind wasted no time proving his worth as a Danish goal machine.

Within a year of goal-scoring form, Wind received the Kjøbenhavns Boldklub’s youth talent award ‘Granen.’ The youngster didn’t just score ordinary goals for Copenhagen, but those of class.

In fact, Jonas was the author of a Panenka penalty kick and many other goals that made the club win the Danish Superliga for two seasons – 2018–19 and 2021-22.

The son of Per Wind scored all kinds of spectacular goals, which helped F.C. Copenhagen to trophies.

On the 31st day of January 2022, the Copenhagen boy decided it was time to open a new chapter in his career.

Among all European clubs that chased him for a signature, Jonas Wind joined the German club VfL Wolfsburg – a club that boasted of having the likes of Kevin Mbabu.

Do you know?… the Dane scored 36 goals for FC Copenhagen before continuing his football with the German outfit.

Road to the 2022 FIFA World Cup:

The Rising Danish Striker (who replaced Wout Weghorst) needed no time to settle at his new club. Coming to a new country and changing culture was part of Jonas’ plan to prepare himself for Soccer’s greatest tournament, the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

From both a club and a national team perspective, the youngster shows no slowing down in terms of scoring goals.

Winning the Bundesliga goal for February 2022 (video below) sent a clear message to Kasper Hjulmand, the Denmark national team coach.

Jonas Wind showed he was ready to compete with Danish Big Boys – the likes of Kasper Dolberg, Yussuf Poulsen, and Martin Braithwaite for a starting place on the national team.

Judging by the way Jonas is going, it is clear that he would be among the Strikers who would make the Denmark list at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Copenhagen boy hopes to use the greatest football tournament to announce his name on the global stage. As we say, the rest of Jonas Wind’s Biography is now history.

Who is Laila Hasanovic?

We describe this lady of enamoured beauty as the woman who succeeded in stealing the Danish footballer’s heart.

On another great fact about Laila Hasanovic, it might interest you to know she is a Beauty Queen. Jonas Wind’s girlfriend once participated in the Miss Universe annual international beauty pageant.

Jonas Wind and Laila Hasanovic began dating in 2019. At that time, young Laila was in high school in Sydfyn. Jonas, on the other hand, was still living with his parents (Britt and Per) in Copenhagen.

Would Laila Hasanovic become Jonas Wind’s Wife?

Our odds are in favour of the two lovers celebrating their wedding in the coming years. It is no longer news that Jonas Wind’s parents accepts Laila Hasanovic as their son’s wife-to-be.

Both lovers look like they are married and are often spotted together. If there is one thing you didn’t know about Laila Hasanovic, it is the fact that she sometimes feels shy or reluctant to cameras.

Personal Life:

Who is Jonas Wind?

To start with, Jonas Wind is the kind of footballer who prefers to live an atypical football life. Throughout his days with F.C. Copenhagen, Jonas lived at home with his mother (Britt) and father (Per Wind).

He does that even though he was rich enough to get his own house. Explaining his personality, the Danish footballer once said,

I know it is not customary for footballers who are rich to stay with their parents. Truth is, I have not wanted to follow this trend in the football world.

Jonas Wind’s parents’ home has become his permanent base, even at the age of 22. He is a real family person who gets along really well with every member of his household. Jonas feels very calm, and relaxed and can be himself when he is at home.

In a hectic football world, being a homebody is super important to him. For Jonas, it is completely natural to have an address that is in the same place as his parents.

If not for a transfer move to the German club, Wolfsburg, he was in no hurry to move away from his family home. Aside from being a homebody, the Big Dane (since childhood) loves the company of his teammates, who are also his friends.

Jonas Wind Lifestyle:

Super cool mansions, expensive cars, and wear. This is a life that many people associate with professional footballers who are rich. This is not the case for Jonas Wind, who lives a simple lifestyle (like Charles De Ketelaere).

Despite making approximately €2,239,000 yearly with Wolfsburg, Jonas has chosen to remain an antidote to dressing expensively and living large.

This is a typical Jonas Wind when he goes for an outing with his girlfriend Laila Hasanovic.

Jonas Wind Family Life:

The Dane once said that his dreams have come true because he always has a fantastic team. More importantly, Jonas is blessed with a close-knit family.

It is indescribable how happy, grateful and proud he is to have these sets of people supporting him day in, and day out. We’ll use this section of Dane’s Bio to tell you facts about the people in his household.

About Jonas Wind Father:

Despite the fact that Striker lived and worked with his father until the age of 22, it did not reach a point where they (Jonas and Per) grew tired of each other. When Per Wind and his son are not at their workplace, you are likely to see them hanging out.

Per Wind and his son Jonas share an excellent father-son relationship.

Per Wind and his son Jonas share an excellent father-son relationship.

The fact that both once shared the same workplace made their relationship more closer. Per Wind’s support for his son over the years (even before they were part of FCK) cannot be underestimated.

The Proud Dad has a way of supporting and helping his son at the time he needs it. Per Wind ensures that a good father-son relationship is felt everywhere. Here is a video example – at the F.C. Copenhagen cafeteria.

As of 2022, Per Wind no longer works at F.C. Copenhagen. The former goalkeeper claimed he was wrongfully fired by the club around October 2021.

Per Wind revealed he was disappointed with the way the club treated him. Jonas’ Dad was 66 years old at the time his job ended with FCK. Here are Per Wind’s words to BT;

yes, It is correct that I have been fired from my job. There is so much I would like to say, but I will refrain.

one thing I can say is that I am so disappointed with FCK’s treatment of me.

During his time at F.C. Copenhagen, it was made clear that Per Wind could not be an agent of his son. At the same time, he worked in the same club his son plays. Now that Jonas’ Dad is out of FCK, he now has the opportunity to register as a football agent. Currently, Per Wind plays the role of career adviser to his son.

Jonas Wind Mother:

Britt views managing a household of three football persons as manageable and not a herculean task.

Jonas Wind’s Mum is a virtuous woman who is media-friendly and super-proud of Jonas. Britt once passionately spoke before the kickoff of her son’s match, where she said nice things about him.

Jonas Wind’s Brother:

Mathias Wind is a midfielder who (at the time of writing this Bio) still plays football with Rosenhöj BK. Jonas Wind’s brother is a veteran of Rosenhøj Boldklub, as he has been with the club since the 2015/2016 season.

Mathias Wind, like Jonas, also has a good rapport with his Dad, Per. The Wind Big Brother is very proud of Jonas, and he always predicts a great future for him.

Morten Wind:

Our research has it that he is another of Jonas Wind’s brothers. Morten Wind is the eldest of his siblings; notably, among them are Jonas and Mathias. As I write this Bio, Morten is 40 years old, and his current occupation is as; a football agent.

Jonas Wind’s brother (the oldest) was also a footballer at the divisional level until his career came to a stop in 2011.

Because of that, he decided to make a living by becoming a football agent. Morten Wind began as Jonas’s career advisor before becoming his agent. Their Dad, Per, remains a career advisor.

Jonas Wind’s Sister:

From the photo shown below, it is clear that a female sibling exists in the family. Presently, no documentation exists about Jonas Wind’s Sister, including her name, which is yet to be revealed.

Jonas Wind Profile (FIFA):

Aside from defending and his interception ability, the Danish Striker (at 22) lacks nothing in football. We have proof of that on Jonas Wind’s SOFIFA card, which shows he is a versatile attacker. In terms of height and abilities, Jonas Wind is very similar to Armando Broja and Joshua Zirkzee.

A striker like him, who has proven himself on many occasions, deserves an upgrade on FIFA.

A striker like him, who has proven himself on many occasions, deserves an upgrade on FIFA.

Jonas Wind Religion:

Britt and Per (his parents) raised the footballer and his siblings as devoted Christians. Jonas Wind’s family could likely be among the 75% of Danes who are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. From what it seems, the Dane isn’t the type of footballer who publicly displays his religious beliefs on social media.

EndNote:

Jonas Wind’s parents are; Britt Wind (his Mother) and Per Wind (his Dad). The Dane was born on the 7th day of February 1999 in Hvidovre, Denmark.

Jonas arrived in the world as the last-born child and son to his parents. Research shows he grew up alongside his sister and older brothers, who go by their names – Mathias and Morten Wind.

The son of the former goalkeeper, Jonas Wind, has his family origins from Hvidovre. After Frederiksberg, his hometown of Hvidovre is the second biggest suburb of Copenhagen. From an ethnic standpoint, Jonas Wind is a native Dane.

This is an ethnic group native to Denmark. The Dane is not just a skilled Forward but also educated. Jonas Wind was a hatched student of his school – the Johannes Gymnasiet in Frederiksberg.

Like his big brothers, young Jonas had an early exposure to football thanks to his Dad. In fact, the Danish footballer is from a family that has a history of the beautiful game.

Starting with Jonas Wind’s Dad, Per was once a goalkeeper who, after his retirement, began working with FC Copenhagen (beginning in 1999).

Jonas began his football with Avedøre. He made positive progress there, a feat that earned him a move to another club, Rosenhøj Boldklub – much closer to his family home. Young Jonas was the recipient of the talent award at the time he played for Rosenhøj BK.

That achievement earned him a move to FC Copenhagen, his Dad’s workplace. Both father (Per Wind) and son share a closer bond at the FCK School of Excellence.

Although a cruciate ligament injury limited his progress at the academy level, Jonas was able to get past it after nine months of being away from football. He bounced back as a pro to receive the Kjøbenhavns Boldklub’s Youth Talent Award.

Achieving a meteoric rise with FCK (as a pro) earned him a deserved move to VfL Wolfsburg. Jonas hopes to have a great 2022 FIFA World Cup performance to increase his reputation further.
