Then, we’ll unveil the journey of his youth career years. And finally, how Jurrien battled all odds to become a successful professional footballer.
We promise to whet your autobiography appetite as you journey through Jurrien Timber’s Biography.
To begin doing that, let’s first present you with this gallery of Jurrien’s Early Life (boyhood years) and Rise. No doubt, it tells a story, that he has truly come a long way.
As I make this memoir, everyone calls him Ajax’s Crown Jewel. There is a list of growing Dutch “Dutch Centre-Backs” – the likes of Perr Schuurs (CB), Nathan Ake, etc.
Jurrien is one of them. When you talk of defensive tacklers on the ball, he stands very tall. Despite the huge interest surrounding his ever-popular name, we notice a knowledge gap. We found that not many fans have read an in-depth version of Jurrien Timber’s Biography. This is why we’ve prepared this Bio. So, without further ado, let’s start by discussing his early life.
Jurrien Timber Childhood Story:
For Biography starters, he bears the nickname ‘Tim’.
And his Full names are Jurriën David Norman Timber. The Dutch Defender was born on the 17th day of June 2001, to his Mother, Marilyn Timber and Father (Mr Maduro) in the city of Utrecht, Netherlands.
Young Jurrien had a best friend in his early boyhood years. This person is no other than his twin brother, Quinten.
Both Timber Twins (as observed below) enjoyed splendid childhood days filled with many playful memories. Here is a rare photo of those early play memories.
Jurrien Timber arrived in the world alongside his Twin Brother (Quinten) as the fourth son of their Mother.
The Dutch professional footballer is one among his four brothers born to Marilyn Timber. You see this woman; she is not just a Mum but a Prayer Warrior and her son’s everlasting bed of roses.
Growing-Up Years:
Jurrien Timber’s family comprises all males (five in number) and no female siblings.
In other words, Jurrien Timber has no sister. Marilyn (their Mum) sees taking care of her sons as manageable. The Dutch Defender spent his childhood years alongside his full and half brothers.
Research has it that Timber’s Mum (Marilyn) raised him and all his brothers all by herself. She did that without the help of their two fathers.
Identifying Jurrien Timber’s Brothers from left to right (in this photo) are as follows; Dylan, Shamier, Quinten, Christopher and Jurrien Timber.
Three members of Jurrien Timber’s family have very close ages (in a similar age group).
They include Dylan, Quinten and Jurrien. These boys grew up mostly together, and they are also full brothers. This means they (unlike Christopher and Shamier) share similar parents.
Jurrien Timber Early Life:
The Dutch Defender and his identical Twin (Quinten) spent most of their childhood days in their family hometown of Utrecht.
Because of his twin status, Jurrien Timber’s family were quite popular in their neighbourhood. Back then, both boys dressed similarly and fell in love with soccer.
As far as football likeness was concerned, the Timber twins loved wearing jerseys of their best clubs, like Man United.
That 2006-2007 United jersey worn by the likes of Ryan Giggs is obvious (above). Asides from being fans, the Timber twins had plenty of football talent.
The talent of the twins while they were kids was very difficult to ignore. Because of that, and also the support of their Mother (Marilyn), their early career began on solid footing.
Jurrien and his brothers took their first footballing strides in their hometown of Utrecht.
Jurrien Timber Family Background:
To start with, there is a past personal situation between the Dutch Defender and his father. Because of that, members of Jurrien Timber’s Family bear their maternal surname.
Jurrien was supposed to stick with his Maduro surname. Rather, he chose Timber, a name from his mother’s family.
It is pertinent to note that Jurrien Timber’s Mum, Marilyn, is a single mother. She raised her five sons on her own and in a highly Christian religious family.
Among five of Marilyn’s sons, three of them (Dylan, & twins – Jurriën and Quinten) became professional footballers.
The Story of Jurrien Timber’s Mother:
Marilyn was born on Curaçao, a Dutch Caribbean island. Jurrien Timber’s Mum grew up in a strict Afro-Curaçaoan Catholic family of five children.
They always went to church every Sunday. Marilyn, as a child, understood little of catholic rituals, but she was close to God.
As a child, Jurrien Timber’s Mum loved Christian songs. Through that, she became fond of music in general. Marilyn soon learnt how to dance, and she became very good at it.
Thanks to her athleticism and dance talent, she (in her youth) got the opportunity to go to Europe.
Marilyn Timber, alongside her dance group, travelled to the Netherlands and other Europe countries.
They were to perform for a period of three months (in Europe) before heading back to their country, Curaçao. Along the line, the 22-year-old (Jurrien’s Mum) changed her mind about returning to her country.
Jurrien Timber’s Mum decided to continue her education in the Netherlands. She applied and got a scholarship to study Dancing in Amsterdam.
Unfortunately, something went wrong with her Dance scholarship. In order to adjust to life, Marilyn began teaching Aerobics.
‘Losing my dance scholarship was a tough period for me, but thanks to God, I stood still.’
Marilyn once spoke about her early difficult months in the Netherlands. She found teaching Aerobics very exciting, a feat that made her decide to stay in the Netherlands.
With no signs of leaving the dance sector, Marilyn decided to invite her boyfriend (who stayed in her home country) to come over.
The coming of Jurrien Timber’s Step Dad:
Marilyn’s then-boyfriend lived in Curaçao. NOTE: He (pictured below) is not the father of Jurrien Timber.
After accepting Marilyn’s invitation, he left Curaçao for the Netherlands, where life was better. Soon after, Jurien Timber’s Mum and her boyfriend decided to get married.
Their marriage became blessed with two sons who go by their names, Christopher and Shamier. These two are Jurrien Timber’s older brothers, born to a different father.
Nine years later, the marriage between Marilyn and her husband crashed, and they divorced.
From left to right (in the family photo below) are baby Shamier, Marilyn’s first husband, young Christopher (in a black shirt) and Marilyn, his Mum.
Jurrien, his twin (Quinten) and Dylan weren’t born at that time. Also, the man in the picture below is Mr Coffie, and not Jurrien’s Dad.
The coming of Jurrien Timber’s Father (What actually went wrong?):
Marilyn, a strong woman of faith, found the courage to move on. After her divorce from the father of Christopher and Shamier, she decided to focus more on her job.
Thankfully, Marilyn met someone in her dancing world, a man who would later become the father of Dylan, Jurrien, and Quinten Timber.
With her new lover, she had her youngest children – making it four boys and no female child (a sister for the boys). Marilyn and her new partner are both from Curaçao, the Dutch Caribbean nation.
Suddenly, the father of Jurrien Timber (and his two brothers) decided he wanted a change in climate (a relocation to his homeland).
Jurrien Timber’s Father suddenly decided to leave the Netherlands for Curaçao because of the warmer climate.
At first, Dylan, Jurrien and Quinten’s Dad said the decision was only temporary. This, however, wasn’t the case. SADLY, Jurrien Timber’s Dad never came back.
Yet again, Marilyn Timber had to go through another difficult period of her life. This time, she was faced with the hurdle of raising five boys all by herself – without their two fathers.
Marilyn Timber’s family members (notably her sister who goes by the name June Timber) helped her during those trying times.
Today, the proud mother of five male children is super proud. That her boys have grown to become successful men in their sporting and non-sporting professions.
Marilyn also has the evangelical church (Best Life Church) in Utrecht to thank for helping her during those painful days.
Jurrien Timber Family Origin:
From his story so far, you could tell that the Dutch Defender has two nationalities which are The Netherlands and Curacao.
Similar to Marcus Rashford, Jurrien Timber’s parents have Caribbean family origins. Now, let’s tell a little about Curacao, the country of his roots.
Curaçao is a Dutch Caribbean island known for its beautiful beaches (which are tucked into coves).
The Island is also blessed with its expansive coral reefs rich in excellent marine life. The ever-beautiful Island country is the gateway to western beaches, like the popular Blue Bay.
Fans… it might also interest you to know that Jurrien Timber’s Mother has Aruba family origins. Did you know?… the father of Denzel Dumfries (Boris Dumfries) is from Aruba.
Aruba, just like Curaçao, is one of the four countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Jurrien Timber’s Ethnicity:
From a more general point of view, you can classify the Defender as Afro-Dutch or Black-Dutch. This is because Jurrien Timber has Sub-Saharan African ancestry.
From a specific point of view, Jurrien Timber (through his parents) belongs to the Dutch-Curaçao (same as Tyrell Malacia) and Dutch-Aruba ethnic groups.
Jurrien Timber Education:
Without needing any help from their fathers, Marilyn ensured all her sons attended a Catholic school. She enrolled Jurrien and his twin brother (Quinten) at De Spits Primary school.
This is a popular Catholic Elementary School located in Gemeente Bunnik, Utrecht, Netherlands.
While at school, Jurrien and Quinten always sat together in class. They would sometimes wear separate coloured sweaters to enable their teachers to distinguish them – as seen below.
Back then, the Timber brothers belonged to group 8 of De Spits’ Primary school.
Miss Joyce, one of Jurrien and Quinten’s teachers, found it the hardest to distinguish the twins.
And thanks to their passion for soccer, the boys never shied away from taking their soccer ball to school. Especially when group 8 (of De Spits primary school) goes for their normal school camp.
Did Jurrien Timber get good grades while at school?
According to Quinten, his twin brother, the answer is yes. Although Jurrien got good marks, it was his twin brother who studied more often.
Quinten, while in school, loved the history subject and disliked mathematics (unlike Davy Klaassen). Both brothers never had time to proceed to higher education.
Career Buildup:
The quest to become professional footballers began in their Dutch hometown of Utrecht.
From an early age, Jurriën Timber’s Mother enrolled him, his twin brother and his older brother (Dylan) at DVSU Academy, Utrecht. That year was 2006, and Jurien was only four.
The photo below shows Jurrien Quinten and Dylan in their early years with DVSU Academy.
While big brother Dylan Timber (one year older) stood at the back, his little Twin brothers squats in the front, next to each other. All boys had fruitful two years with DVSU academy.
Jurrien Timber Biography – Football Story:
The choice to move to a bigger academy (Feyenoord) came in 2008.
There were several scouts from other academies who expressed their interest in all three Timber brothers – Jurrien, Quinten, and Dylan. Chiefly among them were scouts from FC Utrecht and Ajax.
All three Timber brothers choose Feyenoord because that was easier for their mother to pay a close eye on them. During our period at Feyenoord, Jurrien, Quinten, and Dylan would sometimes have to be at the club at 8:00 am. Marilyn ensured zero lateness from her boys.
While at Feyenoord, the bigger Timber (Dylan) often saw himself as the victim of the unbreakable tandem of his twin brothers.
Back then, it was always about the two of them (Jurien and Quinten), and poor Dylan was often alone. According to Dylan;
If Jurriën wanted to watch something on television, I would join in and watch with him.
Then, if I wanted to see something, Quinten would ensure that we stay and watched only what Jurriën wanted.
During Jurrien’s youth career days, some of the boys on their team were jealous of the huge attention directed towards him and Quinten.
Back then, for the three Timber boys, their daily lives were like a triangle – training, school, and sleeping. The boys also spent more time with the rest of their families.
Mixing School Football:
Playing for a top soccer academy like Feyenoord means Jurrien and Quinten had to leave other things behind. One of which was a very important school tournament.
Back then, the Timber twins were top performers in that tournament, as they once reached the semi-finals for two years in a row.
On a particular occasion, Jurrien and Quinten had a problem before another semi-final. The boys had a serious match with their academy (Feyenoord) on that afternoon.
Because the Twins were important for Feyenoord, the club refused to let them go for their school competition.
Sadly, Jurrien Timber’s school team lost that match. And that day, everyone could immediately see how important the Timber twins were to their school’s football team.
Even a few of the twins’ fans burst into tears when they noticed their superstars weren’t coming for their semi-final match.
The Road to Fame Story:
In the year 2014, Ajax finally got a hold of the Twin brothers. Jurrien Timber’s family approved their move to Ajax because of the club’s unique focus on football.
Truth be told, they wouldn’t be the players they had become today if they had remained at Feyenoord.
Because Feyenoord lost two rare gems, some of the club’s fans lashed out at Jurrien Timber’s family.
Especially for their decision to approve the Twin’s move to Feyenoord’s arch-rival. In fact, the Timber Twins’ switch to Ajax was not received positively, especially on social media.
From one accusation, there were reports that money for the Timber family did the rounds. As online tension heightened, Ajax had to break the silence. The Dutch club claimed they were the first club that reached the boys since they were very small, even before they joined Feyenoord.
Also, Ajax claimed they had always met with Quinten and Jurrien Timber’s parents (their Mum) during matches with Feyenoord.
Thankfully, that explanation calmed the tension. As the twins moved on with their new club, little did they know hard times were coming their way.
Early Difficulties with Ajax:
The first year and a half with Ajax were difficult for the Timber brothers. Both Jurrien and Quinten suffered many injuries.
At that time, coach Gery Vink (Ajax youth trainer and a sweet guy) had his hands filled with the Twins, especially mentally. Surprisingly, Jurrien and Quinten never suffered injuries with Feyenoord.
It became so serious that Jurien Timber’s Mum (Marilyn) approved for her Twin to have their own physio.
In addition, Jurrien and Quinten equipped their family home with gym equipment. With a constant push, their muscles developed and they move past their injury nightmares.
The journey to fame:
Step by step, the hard work by the Twins began to pay off. To the joy of Jurrien Timber’s family, he, alongside his brother, got their first national team call-up – to the Netherlands U17.
Their next big task, following the call-up, was to partake in the 2018 UEFA European U-17 Championship.
The Timber brothers achieved a meteoric rise in a tournament that boasts top stars like Jeremy Doku, Eric Garcia, Bukayo Saka (LW), Folarin Balogun (CF), etc.
Timber’s team defeated England in the semi-finals and also won Italy to lift the prestigious Euro under-17 youth championship.
Jurrien Timber Biography – Success Story:
Together, of course, Marilyn’s twin sons signed their first professional contract. Although Jurrien and Quinten signed their contract at the same time, little did they know they would be separated soon. In fact, Football separated the Utrecht twin brothers in the year 2021.
Before football separated the Timber Twins, they both played for Jong Ajax, the reserves team of Ajax. Quinten Timber scored against Jong FC Utrecht in his Jong Ajax days.
So, this family’s hometown club decided to steal him away from Ajax – on a three-year contract.
Before the twin separation, Jurrien Timber’s parents and family members witnessed one final blessed moment with the boys.
Winning their first trophy with Ajax is one thing, but getting one with his twin brother is the real win. Behold, the Timber twins were celebrating their first senior trophy together.
The Rise of Jurrien:
If you ask any Ajax FC supporter, they will tell you Jurrien Timber is the natural successor to Matthijs de Ligt since his 2019 exit to Juventus.
The Dutch star, alongside Daley Blind and Lisandro Martinez, enjoyed a formidable partnership under the command of Erik ten Hag.
Fast forward to 2022, Jurrien has moved on without his twin. Although it wasn’t that easy, he managed.
With more trophies and honours to his name, Jurrien has excelled with other top superstars – the likes of Sebastian Haller, Antony, Burkina Faso Lassina Traore, Dusan Tadic, Cameroonian Andre Onana (GK), Ryan Gravenberch (CM), etc.
When thousands of Ajax fans took to the city’s streets to celebrate, Jurrien couldn’t hold back on the need to show his trophy vibes. Jurrien’s success is no accident but hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice.
From the international scene, Jurrien has once again moved ahead of his twin brother (Quinten) to join Oranje Holland for the Euro 2020.
As I create Jurrien Timber’s Biography, he, alongside Steven Berghuis, are both undisputed first-team members of Louis van Gaal’s 2022 World Cup Netherland team.
With his new country teammates – Virgil van Dijk, Denzel Dumfries, Arnaut Danjuma (LW), Wout Weghorst (CF), Donyell Malen (RE), etc., the Oranje Holland boy hopes to shine at the memorable 2022 FIFA World Cup. And more importantly, Jurrien Timber hopes to get a Big transfer to another top European club – the guardian.
It is only a matter of time before the greatest sporting tournament happens in Qatar. The rest of Jurrien Timber’s Biography, as we say, is now history.
Now, having told you Tim’s story, we’ll use the next section to discuss matters surrounding his heart. Now, let’s begin.
Love Life:
With all the career heights he has received at such a young age, it is right for us to say the Dutch-Curaçao star is a successful man.
And we know that behind every successful Dutch footballer comes a glamorous woman. Now, let’s give you a clue about Jurrien Timber’s girlfriend.
In the course of writing Jurrien Timber’s Bio, we made research to determine the identity of his lover.
Upon careful review, we notice the lady above in question is Marisol. Although Jurrien Timber’s family members look alike, Shamier (Marilyn’s second son) is the man above.
While making further research, we found the photo below, which gives the closest clue as to whom Jurrien Timber might be dating.
For the first time on Timber’s social media platform, he gave his fans something to think about when he posted this photo. This is Jurrien Timber and a lady beside him.
The image above reveals the kitchen of Jurrien Timber’s house. And inside the kitchen was the Defender and a yet-to-be-identified lady.
Is that Shamier’s wife (Marisol)?… probably not. Could the lady be Jurrien Timber’s girlfriend?… Well, only time will tell.
Personal Life:
Away from what he does on the pitch, who is Jurrien Timber?
To start with, there is a general saying that board games increase brain function.
Playing board games is one of Jurrien Timber’s hobbies – which he does with his brothers and friends. Monopoly and Dominoes Board games help in his good decision-making abilities on the pitch.
Another of Jurrien Timber’s personality is the relationship he has with his twin brother. For the footballer, having his best friend as a twin makes his world complete.
In fact, every joy shared by Jurrien and Quinten is a joy made double. From their boyhood years to their early teenage days, both Jurrien and Quinten shared the same bedroom.
In an interview, Quinten once revealed that Jurrien talks more in his sleep while he (Quinten) snores the most. And both Timber twins adore Lionel Messi and take listening to music as one of their hobbies.
Jurrien, unlike Quinten, enjoys music more. He prefers hip-hop and Caribbean songs – which come from the country of their parents. Drake and Lil Baby are Quinten’s favourite music artists from the US. On the other hand, Kevin, Broederliefde, and Jonna Fraser remain his favourites in the Netherlands.
Jurrien Timber LifeStyle:
Regarding the way he lives, he is someone who hardly gives much thought to making money. Jurrien lives an anti-flash attitude, a life not characterized by a display of flashy cars, big, expensive houses, etc. A typical lifestyle for Jurrien is taking his twin brother for dinner.
Quinten (the other twin brother) once said that his twin (Jurrien) spends most of his time on his phone. In fact, you are more likely to receive a quicker response to a WhatsApp message from Jurrien than his best friend brother, Quinten.
Jurrien Timber Car:
When it comes to driving something on the road, the Defender and his twin prefer fancy bikes. Riding a Knapp bike is an ideal form of low-impact exercise, which gives him little stress on his joints. It is part of the twins’ way of life, as observed in this photography.
At the time of writing this Biography, Jurrien Timber is yet to be pictured driving his own car. However, the closest we’ve seen him (when it comes to driving) is this photo below. He appears to be completely at ease as his twin takes him on what looks like an adventure car.
Jurrien Timber Family Life:
For Christopher, Shamier, Dylan, Quinten and Jurrien, the support from their mother gives them the strength to weather any storm. In this section of Timber’s Biography, we’ll reveal more details about his family members. So, without further ado, let’s begin.
About Jurrien Timber’s Mother:
Although difficult for most women, Marilyn is a single Mum who sees the act of taking care of five boys as simply manageable. Because their Mum always did it for him, Jurrien didn’t learn how to cook certain food, like Quinten’s favourite – lasagna, rice with chicken, Sushi, etc.
Jurrien Timber’s Mum is someone who promotes healthy competition among her sons. As of 2021, four of her five sons still live with her. She enjoys every part of her son’s career success, especially Jurrien, who happens to be the family’s breadwinner.
The proud mother of five possesses spiritual armour. Marilyn Timber is a prayer warrior who sees God working through her children. At all times, she prays for her son’s protection over wrong influences and injury. Through a family WhatsApp group, Marilyn encourages them to pray a lot.
On a final note, we found Marilyn to be a good dancer. She danced at a wedding ceremony in Curaçao, the Dutch Caribbean Island. Dutch people truly love the Caribbean, and the Timber family does have a soft spot for the home of their grandparents.
About Jurrien Timber’s Father:
At the time of writing this Bio, there is still hardly any mention of Mr Maduro, who is the Dad of Dylan, Jurrien and Quinten. Also, the first name of Jurrien Timber’s Father is still unknown. Considering that Marilyn met Jurrien’s Dad in the dance world, there is a likely hood that he worked in the dance industry.
Because of his Dad’s act, Jurrien shares a similar history to Lucas and Theo Hernandez. All superstars had their Dad leaving their families without returning. To date, nobody knows if Jurrien’s Dad has made any contact with his family to address the issues of the past.
About Jurrien Timber Brothers:
To start with, it may interest you to know that all four boys started out as soccer players. Sadly, only two of the Timber brothers made it to become professional footballers. Here in this Bio, we’ll tell you more about Jurrien’s brothers (individually).
Christopher Timber Coffie:
Born to a different father, he is the first son and child of Marilyn and one-half brother of Jurrien. Christopher Coffie, as he likes to be known as, was the first who introduced football to his little brothers. He started out by playing for amateur clubs before ending his career to become an agent.
Christopher Timber is 32 years old as of 2022. He is eleven years older than his twin half brothers (Jurrien and Quinten). Christopher is two years older than Shamier Timber (his immediate blood brother). And ten years older than Dylan (the first of his half brothers).
Also to note, Christopher Timber Coffie (as of 2021) appears to be in a relationship with a Dutch lady known as Britt Van Rooyen. Unlike his immediate junior brother (Shamier Timber Coffie), Christopher is yet to make a decision about getting married.
After his Mum (Marilyn), Christopher Timber Coffie was the second mainstay of the family, especially during the difficult early years. Did you know?… Before becoming a football agent, he did three jobs to contribute to the household money.
Christopher is also someone with a broad interest in different subjects. After quitting his football career, he went on to become a trainee agent. Chris, out of the need to pursue the profession, did not complete his higher education. He, however, wrote and submitted his school thesis.
Shamier Timber Coffie:
He is the second son of Marilyn. Regarding his occupation, Shamier is an IT professional. Just like his older brother (Christopher), he also tried his hands at football. Marylyn, his Mum, once said Shamier was the best footballer the family had. Even their hometown club, FC Utrecht, was interested in him.
Shamier, just like Christopher, never made it to be a professional soccer player. At some point, he didn’t enjoy playing the sport. Instead, he followed another dream, in the area of IT. Shamier, who, on March 13th 2022, proposed to Marisol, is super proud of what his brother has achieved in soccer.
Dylan Timber:
Born on the 15th day of April 2000, the third son of Marilyn is a professional footballer. As TransferMarkt says, Dylan plays for Utrecht FC. He played for previous clubs, Sparta Nijkerk and Kampong. Dylan Timber, like Jurien, plays at centre-back and right-back positions.
Quinten Timber:
First, about his playing position, he excels best in his defensive midfielder role. As of 2022, Quinten plies his trade with his hometown team FC Utrecht alongside his immediate older brother, Dylan. Quinten is a holder of the 2022 David Di Tommaso Trophy. He is among the top performers of FC Utrecht.
About Jurrien Timber’s Relative (his Aunt):
June is her name, and she is Marilyn’s sister. In the context of a family relationship, June is an aunt to Jurrien. She was the family member who introduced Marilyn (her sister) to Best Life Church in Utrecht. This Evangelical church helped Jurrien’s Mum draw closer to God.
Another of Jurrien Timber’s relatives is someone whom his brother (Christopher) calls a nephew. There is a lack of documentation on whether this nephew (pictured below) is linked to Chris’ other family – from his father’s side. As observed, both uncle and nephew appear to be in two different modes.

Comparisons with the De Boer Brothers:
Did you know?… The emergence of the Timber twin brothers has reminded football fans of the iconic Dutch twin siblings – Frank De Boer and Ronald De Boer. In fact, Jurrien and Quinten have a similar playing position as the De Boer brothers – who even played for Ajax.
Jurrien Timber Religion:
The Dutch professional footballer bears the middle name ‘David’, which leaves a sign that he is a Christian. More so, Jurrien Timber’s family attends Best Life Evangelical church in Utrecht, Netherlands. His mother, Marilyn Timber, got baptised there in January 2009.
In Jurrien Timber’s family, his two oldest brothers (Christopher and Shamier) were raised as Catholics. On the other hand, Dylan, Jurrien and Quinten got raised by their Mum, in the evangelical church. Jurrien is open to the Christian religious faith, and he goes to church regularly.
Explaining in an interview about how she manages her son’s faith, Jurrien’s Mum, Marilyn, once said,
I made it very practical that we have a family app, where I share Bible texts with my sons several times a day.
Upon receiving my message, they then send a thumbs up or ‘nice, mama’ back. Sometimes they send a response as a personal message.
I always encourage all my boys to pray themselves, to ask God for what they need and above all, to give many thanks to God for what they already have.
Lately, just before a competition, one of my sons ask to be anointed with oil, the symbol of the Holy Spirit, to have extraordinary power on the pitch. My greatest wish for now is that all the boys are baptized soon.
EndNote:
Jurriën was born on the 17th day of June 2001, to Marilyn Timber and Mr Maduro, his Mum and Dad, parents, in the Dutch city of Utrecht. He, alongside Quinten, came to the world as born a twin. Jurrien Timber has four brothers – Christopher, Shamier, Dylan and Quinten. He attended De Spits Primary school, a Catholic Elementary School in Utrecht.
The Dutch player has no sister. Two of Jurrien Timber’s brothers (Quitnen and Dylan) are from the same parents. On the other hand, Christopher and Shamier are from the same Mum but a different Dad. Jurrien bears his mother’s family name (Timber) rather than his dad’s (Maduro).
Marilyn Timber (Jurrien’s Mum) once had a husband and family (with Christopher and Shamier as kids) before her marriage crashed. She settled down with Jurrien’s Dad, (a native of Curaçao) after her failed marriage. Sadly, Jurrien’s Dad left home and never returned.
Following the departure of two men in her life, Jurrien Timber’s Mum (Marilyn) passed through the pains of raising all her five boys. Her first son (Christopher), contributed to the family’s upkeep by doing multiple jobs as a fifteen-year-old.
