The Athlete’s grandmother helped him resolve the issue of fear. According to Mudryk, his Grandmum (a devout Christian) told him as follows;
My grandmother gave me a picture that she embroidered with her own hands. That picture has in it an icon of my guardian angel Michael.
then, she told me:
“Eachtime you lie down, say: ‘In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.’ Then make the sign of the cross, go to sleep, and you will never be afraid again.”
From that moment Mykhailo Mudryk started to do so, it became easier for him to sleep at night. From that moment, everything about his Christian faith started. At the age of 10, the youngster had begun reading the children’s Bible.

Mykhailo Mudryk Bio – The Journey to Fame:
The up-and-coming soccer talent successfully graduated from Shakhtar Donetsk Academy in 2018.
Mudryk could have joined the club’s first team, which had the likes of Fred (who later joined Mourinho’s Manchester United). Rather, he chose to play for another club.
Initially, Mudryk knew he wouldn’t initially get the opportunity to play as a first-choice Striker at his parent club. In his quest to gain more experience and playing time, he agreed to a loan move to Arsenal Kyiv. While at the club, Mykhailo developed his confidence and skills.
The quest to become the most sought-after footballer in his country was a difficult journey. On the 30th of June, 2019, Mudryk returned from loan and was found not good enough for Shakhtar Donetsk’s senior team. Rather, he was shipped to the club’s reserve team, known as Shakhtar II.
Activating his never-give-up spirit, he (on the 6th of August, 2020) accepted a loan transfer to Desna. Mudryk could only stay there for six months before (again) joining the reserve team of Shakhtar Donetsk.
This time (in January of 2021), he wasn’t ready for another loan move but determined to fight for his inclusion in the Shakhtar Donetsk first team.
Mykhailo Mudryk Biography – Rise to Fame:
Under the command of 58-year-old Luís Castro, the Ukrainian Winger finally got his call to join Shakhtar Donetsk’s first team. Unfortunately, Mudryk didn’t enjoy much football under the Portuguese manager, who got sacked after leading the team to a second-place table finish just below Dynamo Kyiv.
Before he broke the spell that caused his senior career stagnation, everyone knew there was something special in Mudryk.
Sadly, lots of coaches failed to find that connection with him. When Roberto De Zerbi came to Shakhtar, Mudryk had already been loaned out and was not playing.
The first thing the Italian coach did was to order the recall of Mudryk from his loan spell. Next, the coach requested a meeting with the youngster and said to him the following words;
Do you become a true professional player with me, or will you not be an ordinary football player?
From that day after their meeting, the boy developed a new mentality to succeed. Under the command of Roberto De Zerbi (who later became Brighton’s head coach), Mudryk achieved a meteoric rise. The Italian football coach saw lots of promise in the youngster, a feat that made him say the following;
If I don’t bring Mykhailo Mudryk to achieving fame at a high level, I will see as a personal defeat on my side and career.
