The rookie joined Sporting CP in 2010 when he was seven. Renato stayed with the academy for three years before moving to Real Massamá. This football club was founded in 1951 in Queluz and is a 30-minute drive from Renato Veiga’s hometown in Lisbon. Nelson’s son stayed with this team for six years, from 2013 to 2019.
