The Barcelona midfielder and captain for the Spain national team believe in and practice Christianity just like her parents and grandparents. Besides, most population of the Catalans in Spain identify as Christians.

As a Christian, she understands God has a begotten son who died and got resurrected to live forever so that man would get saved from eternal damnation.

Alexia Putellas Willingness To Speak Up:

While Alexia Putellas may be private about her personal life, the Catalonia star isn’t hesitant to voice her opinions on political matters.

The global football star spoke out against prison sentences in 2019 for Catalan independence, promising leaders after the Catalan independence referendum of 2017, saying the sentences were “not the solution.”

An inspiration to younger girls:

In every classroom from nursery to secondary school, a signed Nike poster featuring Putellas takes pride of place with the caption: “Don’t change your dream, change the world.” Additionally, a plaque bearing her name stands proudly outside the gymnasium.

On the very playground where Putellas began her journey, more girls now play football. When they score, they excitedly declare to their teachers: “I’m the future, Alexia!” They look up to her as a symbol of possibility, believing that if she can achieve her dreams, so can they.

Alexia Putellas spent most of her upbringing in Mollet del Valles, Catalonia, Spain. Despite her fame, she does not like to mention the names of her father, mother, or sister.

However, she says her father’s influence on her career has been enormous, making her feel disconnected from others. Alexia had completed most of her education at Mollet del Valles.

However, she always does extracurricular activities ahead of her academic training. She is good at her academics. However, her goal has always been to make a name for herself in football.

Her father was a vast Barcelona fan, and it was extraordinary for her family to play for the club. In 2001, Alexia Putellas started her youth career at Sabadell. She spent four years at Sabadell Academy before joining Barcelona.

However, Alexia needed to see Barca taking her career to the next level. This forced her to join Barca’s city rivals Espanyol, and this move took place in 2006. Espanyol Football Academy played a significant role in making her career look stable.

She found her roots at Espanyol in 2006 and was able to learn a lot until 2010. Because of this, she respects both clubs in the city of Barcelona.

Alexia Putellas made her club debut for Espanyol in 2010. She played for her favourite youth team one season before joining Levante in the 2011/12 season.

The attacking midfielder then moved to Barca in 2012. Since then, she has developed her game and helped to help Barcelona to become European champions in women’s football for the first time in 2021.

Alexia came to Barcelona when they didn’t take the feminine part seriously. But now things are very different. The club has everything that it takes to continue to dominate Europe.
