At the time of writing this Bio, Diamu plays for Vegalta Sendai in the J2 League Japanese league. It is pertinent to note that Daichi Kamada’s brother also bears the nickname Hiromu Kamata.

Again, the Eintracht Frankfurt footballer grew up alongside his two cousin sisters. These persons go by the names Emily Nishimoto and Julie Nishimoto. It will interest you to know that Daichi Kamada’s cousins, whom he calls his sisters, are professional surfers.

Daichi Kamada’s Early Life:

The Japanese professional footballer began playing football at the age of three. Observing their son’s love for soccer, Daichi Kamada’s parents decided to look for a team that would teach him different football techniques.

After visiting various teams in their neighbourhood, Takako and Mikio settled with Kids FC. Daichi began horning his football skills with this academy situated in Iyo City, Ehime, where his family lived at the time.

Back then, when he got home, the youngster would watch all the photos and videos of his games that were filmed by Takako, his Mom. As a young footballer with KFC (Kids FC), Daichi (who is pictured below) did things on the pitch that weren’t normal for a seven-year-old.

Daichi Kamada Family Background:

The most salient fact about the Japanese professional footballer’s household is that it lives and breathes football.

Daichi Kamada’s father was once a footballer who played until the college level. Fukushige Kamada retired because he lacked soccer skills. He kept being active in the game while he played for Osaka Sports University.

It was hard for Daichi Kamada’s Dad to see his professional football dreams go down the drain. For this reason, the 53-year-old (now an employee living in Amagasaki, Hyogo) vowed to re-live his lost football dreams through his sons, Daichi and Daimu.

This is the reason why Fukushige Kamada found it necessary (early on) to find a football school for his son, Daichi.

The Dad, who once faced a hard time because he lacked soccer skills, wanted his two sons not to repeat his mistake. So, Fukushige laid a good foundation for their careers.

Today, Daichi Kamada Family can attest to the fact that having a good career foundation has paid off. This is not just the case for the footballer and his brother, Daimu.

But also to his cousins – Emily and Julie Nishimoto, who, as I write this Bio, are considered among the fastest-rising surfers in Japan.

Daichi Kamada’s parents, today, see themselves as persons who are now reaping the dividends of installing a tough mentality in their son.

When you look at their heights, you can attest that the Japanese footballer took after his father’s tall genes.

Daichi Kamada Family Origin:

A trace of the Asian footballer’s roots reveals he (from both parents) is a bonafide citizen of Japan. Daichi Kamada possesses Japanese nationality, and his birthplace is Ehime. This city is in the prefecture of Japan, located on the island of Shikoku.

Although he was born in the above-named city, Daichi Kamada’s family origin is not traced to Ehime.

After conducting research, we found that the Japanese Athlete is a native of Tottori (which is the birthplace of Fukushige, his Dad). This map will aid your understanding of Kamada’s origins.

Ethnicity:

Daichi Kamada identifies with the Yamato Japanese tribe, which is incorporated into the Empire of Japan. For starters, this ethnic group make up approximately 98% of the Asian country’s population.

World Atlas revealed that the “Yamato Japanese” ethnicity term wasn’t mentioned until the late 1800s. This is because the country’s government did not want mainland Japanese people to distinguish themself from other ethnic groups.

Daichi Kamada Education:

To start with, Takako and Fukushige ensured their son attended school. Daichi Kamada played lots of football while in school. While in the 6th grade of his elementary school, he helped his team win the TV Ehime Cup Ehime Prefectural Youth Soccer Championship.

Kamada is also a product of Higashiyama High School, which we began attending in 2012.

We’ll unveil more facts about how his soccer career coincides with his education as we proceed with this Bio. At Higashiyama High School in Kyoto, the youngster opened the door to his professional career.

Daichi Kamada Biography – Football Story:

After graduating from elementary school, Daichi left his hometown club (Kids FC). That year, in 2009, he joined the prestigious Gamba Osaka Junior Youth. Joining this academy meant one thing – that he had to leave his family home for Kishiwada City in Osaka Prefecture.

Because his grandmother’s house was in Kishiwada City, it became easy for Daichi to settle in the new city. Every day, he (after school period) would go to practice for hours. Playing football at that time was easy, and it took time for Kamada to get used to school life.

After leaving Ehime, where his parents raised him, the Athlete later became plagued by tough competition at his new club.

The strong quest to maintain his high performance saw changes in his body during his youth days with Gamba Osaka. During that period, Daichi Kamada felt very sober.

A rare photo of Kamada (at Gamba Osaka) at a time his body experienced massive changes.

A rare photo of Kamada (at Gamba Osaka) at a time his body experienced massive changes.

At that time, Daichi Kamada suffered from multiple injuries. These injuries came at a time he just began the first year of junior high school.

To make matters worst, the poor boy broke his arm bone, which forced him to undergo surgery.

Also, in Kamada’s junior schooling years, Daichi’s muscles couldn’t keep up with his hip bone growth.

Feeling so much pain just two days before a summer national championship, he almost gave up on football. With the never-ending back injuries, Daichi, at some point, cried and said the following words to himself;

“When will my whole body start to move again!!?”

Daichi Kamada Bio – Road to Fame Story:

Despite the difficult early career years, the Ehime-born youngster never lost his passion for the beautiful game. During the spring of his third year in junior high school, Daichi Kamada’s parents presented a proposal to their son.

Takako and Mikio discussed with their son about the need to join a high school athletic team. They said that by doing that, he would get a better opportunity to become a professional with opportunities. Also, J-League clubs are more likely to scout and seek his services.

To become a professional with Gamba Osaka (his current team), Daichi Kamada knew he must be their number one or two best players.

In the end, Gamba told him the truth. They revealed to him that he (Kamada) was far from being their best player. Again that with his current performance, it would be hard for him to get promoted and become a professional.

The big decision:

Confirming what his parents had earlier advised, Daichi Kamada decided to leave the soccer academy. He enrolled at Higashiyama High School in Kyoto.

During his first year of high school, Kamada lived with other students in a dormitory. In the second year, he moved to Kansai, where he did a part-time job, as well as playing soccer.

In total, Daichi Kamada spent three years at Higashiyama High school. Those years were a period in which he (who rose to become captain) developed more confidence.

Kamada led his team to reach the final of a championship – the popular Kyoto Prefecture tournament.

A very competitive Daichi Kamada, who was still unknown, was more interested in winning all goals and assist numbers.

Through hard work and sacrifice, he achieved that goal in his school’s youth league. Thanks to such success, a J1 club (Sagan Tosu) finally found him.

Daichi Kamada Biography – Rise to Fame Story:

Initially sent on loan to J.League U-22 Selection (a Japanese football team that played in J3 League), he proved that he was worthy of a first-team loan recall. Daichi began his life at Sagan Tosu on solid footing. He got into the watchful eyes of Eintracht Frankfurt scouts after scoring 13 goals.

In June 2017, Kamada opened a new career chapter as he joined the German Bundesliga outfit, Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Japanese Athlete, alongside Sébastien Haller (CF), Luka Jović, and Kevin-Prince Boateng, were among the biggest statement signings of the club.

Daichi Kamada found himself on a team that has Haris Seferovic, the Swiss Super Forward. In the 2018 DFB-Pokal final, his Eintracht Frankfurt team, under the command of Niko Kovac, won this memorable trophy.

The investment made in Daichi Kamada paid off quite early. Following his successful loan move to Sint-Truiden, he returned to meet a more formidable Eintracht Frankfurt team.

In the 2021/2022 season, the club could boast of having the likes of Filip Kostic (LWB), Djibril Sow, and Ajdin Hrustic.

Kamada, alongside the above notable figures, were among those who dominated Europe in the 2021/2022 UEFA Europa League.

Personal Life:

Who is Daichi Kamada?

The Japanese footballer loves to talk in a certain way. Daichi has a knack for speaking out mumblingly or making calm expressions in short sentences. Again, Kamada always puts up a happy face, no matter the situation. The photo of his 2017 wedding with Arisa says it all.

He cried on this day:

The first time Daichi Kamada shed his tears publicly as an adult was when his Eintracht Frankfurt team won the Europa League.

On that day, his eyes were filled with tears because of the bloody effort and hardship he went through to ensure his team achieved that historic victory. In his words;

Just as no water overflows from an unfilled spring, nothing will also overflow from those who have not tasted bitterness.

Daichi Kamata Lifestyle:

Over time, the game of soccer has gotten its fair share of serious characters who would rather focus on careers than socialise. This is not the case with Daichi, as he loves to bond with his friends at some of their favourite Japanese restaurants.

Here, the footballer and his friends enjoy the Samgyeopsalminu - a local Japanese food.

There are times when Daichi Kamata goes into solo vacation mode. The sea is one great natural place he loves to explore.

Life is always different there for the Japanese winger. He takes this kind of holiday so he can recharge his battery and restore his lost strength.

At this time, Kamada loves to be alone and away from everything related to football so he can restore his strength.

The Eintracht Frankfurt Athlete also loves to create an avenue of father/son bonding with his child – usually at the seaside.

Daichi Kamada remains his son’s anchor to exploring the world’s possibilities. The proud Dad remains the role model his son looks up to for forming his views about becoming a professional footballer someday.

Daichi Kamata Family Life:

The 6-foot Athlete never stops showing appreciation to his parents for helping him survive the realities of his early career years. In this section of our Bio, we’ll tell you more about his family members, namely; Takako, Mikio, Daimu, Emily and Julie Nishimoto.

Daichi Kamata Father:

Fukushige, also known by the nickname Mikio, is a retired footballer who later began working at the Osaka University of Physical Education. Daichi’s Dad is a graduate of Tottori Higashi High School.

Thanks to his guidance, Kamada worked hard and learned to excel as a professional footballer. As seen here, it is obvious that a great bond exists between Fukushige and his son, Daichi.

Fukushige and Daichi once took this selfie together.

Fukushige and Daichi once took this selfie together.

The proud Dad is credited for helping his son learn how to use his body in attacking situations. When Fukushige notices Daichi Kamata complaining so much, he tells him this advice. The advice says that a footballer’s attitude is more important than the soccer skills he wishes for or possesses.

Back in the day, Fukushige would sometimes scold his son in order to have him improve his behavioural and technical skills. Thankfully, those days are now done, and his efforts to improve his son have long paid off.

Daichi’s Dad always keeps an eye on all his son’s matches. Because most football is played in Germany, Fukushige stays awake until 10 pm (Japan time), when Bundesliga matches usually start. Then he would be awake by 4 and 5 am to watch either the Europa or Champions League. After each game, both father and son would exchange messages.

Daichi Kamata Mother:

Takako is mostly described as the record keeper of the family. When her husband was busy with work, Daichi Kamata’s Mum supported their son by driving him in her car for his practice sessions. Takako, who is calmer than her husband, gives her son more freedom.

Daichi Kamada’s Mum, unlike his Dad, rarely criticizes his gameplay. Once a time, she accompanied him for trials at the FC Barcelona soccer school in Kobe.

When football made Daichi Kamata live far away, his Mum delivered him the best mental support, especially at a time he complained a lot during his junior high school days.

Hiromu Kamada:

His real name is Daimu Kamada, and he bears the nickname Hiromu. Daichi’s Brother, born on the 23rd day of June 2001, is a midfielder. As I write this Bio, he plays for Vegalta Sendai. Hiromu Kamada’s career in 2022 is on the rise. He is currently helping his team to achieve a J1 promotion.

His real names are Daimu Kamada. Hiromu is just a nickname he bears.

Daichi Kamada’s brother began his professional career with Fukushima United FC in 2020, just after leaving Shohei High School.

In 2022, he originally planned a contract renewal with the club, where he would wear number 10. Before the deal was done, Vegalta Sendai hijacked the move on the 3rd of February, 2022.

Hiromu Kamada, as of 2021, lived in Iizaka Town of Shinobu District, Fukushima, Japan.  Asides from playing football, he is an advocate of keeping a clean Iizaka environment.

Hiromu and his friends often participate in environmental campaigns that discourage people from throwing garbage into the sea.

Daichi Kamata Cousins:

Julie Nishimoto (born in 2001) has a passion for both surfing and music. She is the younger sister to Emily Nishimoto, who is also a professional surfer.

Daichi Kamata’s cousin (Julie) and his brother, Hiromu Kamata, are the same age. And he is three years older than Emily Nishimoto, who was born in 1999.

Daichi Kamata constantly supports his cousins’ surfing careers. He once revealed to his Instagram fans that both of his cousins (Julie and Emily) have a good chance of participating in the Tokyo Olympics. On a final note, Daichi Kamata’s cousins have their origins in Oahu, Hawaii.

Untold Facts:

In the final phase of Daichi Kamada’s Biography, we unveil more information about him. So without further ado, let’s begin.

The worst moment of his youth life:

It came at a time the Athlete had just entered high school when he was barely 140cm in height. During the three years he spent at junior high school, Kamada grew very tall – at a quick stretch. The rapid growth he experienced caused his body to lose balance.

To make matters worst, his running speed slowed down completely. For the youngster, it was so frustrating to be told that he was too slow and couldn’t turn effectively. At the end of his junior high school, Daichi underwent a rigorous training regime that saw him run at most 12 kilometres in a match.

Daichi Kamada Salary Breakdown:

His contract he has with Eintracht Frankfurt sees him pocketing around €1,926,960 per year. Converting these monies into the Japanese currency, we have JP¥279,912,714.

How rich is Daichi Kamada?

Where his family comes from, the average person in Japan makes around 6,180,000 Japanese Yen annually. Do you know?… Such a person would need 45 years to make Daichi Kamada’s annual salary with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Daichi Kamada FIFA:

It pleases us to say that at age 25, the Japanese attacking midfielder lacks only one thing in football, except his defending stats.

That attribute he lacks is his ability to make interceptions (which has a below-average score of 43). Dominik Szoboszlai and Christopher Nkunku have attributes similar to Daichi’s.

On FIFA, the Japan Footballer excels best when it comes to his agility, dribbling, and vision.

On FIFA, the Japan Footballer excels best when it comes to his agility, dribbling, and vision.

Daichi Kamada Religion:

For years, the former Gamba Osaka Athlete has been silent on matters concerning his faith. This leaves us with the possibility that Daichi Kamada is either non-religion or practices Buddhism.

EndNote:

Daichi Kamada arrived in the world on the 5th of August 1996 to his Mother, Takako and Father, Fukushige (Mikio). He spent his childhood years alongside his younger brother, who goes by the name Daimu Kamada (nicknamed Hiromu). Daichi is married to Arisa Kamada, his wife.

The Kamadas belong to the Yamato Japanese tribe. Daichi comes from a football-loving family, and his origin is Tottori, which is the birthplace of his Dad (Fukushige). It is pertinent to state that Daichi Kamada’s Cousins (Emily Nishimoto and Julie Nishimoto) are professional surfers.

Fukushige Kamada, his Dad, used to be a footballer. Sadly, he didn’t make it as a pro, which made him initiate a quest to make his two sons (Daichi and Daimu) re-live his soccer dreams. Young Kamada began playing football at the tender age of three at “Kids FC” (now FC Zebra Kids).

Moving on from Kids FC, he enrolled at Gamba Osaka during his junior high school days. Young Daichi suffered from growing pains and injuries during his Gamba Osaka years. Following advice from his parents, he joined Higashiyama High School Soccer in 2012, where he made an impact.

The Rising Japanese Starlet got appointed as captain during his final year at Higashiyama High School. After his high school graduation, he joined the five J. League club, Sagan Tosu. Further progress made there earned him a move to the German Bundesliga club, Eintracht Frankfurt.

Daichi Kamada, as of 2022, has worked his way into becoming an indispensable member of the German club. Winning the UEFA Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt is so far the biggest honour of his club career. As I wrap up this biography, Daichi is poised to join the ranks of other attacking midfielders like Kai Havertz, Ghana’s Mo Kudus, and Lucas Paqueta, who are making waves in the Premier League.
